Megaupload Shut Down by U.S. prosecutors, founders, executives arrested
Earlier today, Federal prosecutors completely shut down all aspects of Megaupload.com, one of the world's largest file-sharing sites, seized their servers, and arrested the founders and company executives as part of a massive indictment, charging the company with violating piracy laws. Here is a link to one of many news stories about the seizure. As you likely know, all of the music files posted on this blog were hosted by Megaupload. Thus, as of now, all of the music that was posted here is no longer available. Right now, there is no response from the megaupload website, there is no re-direct, it has just ceased to exist. Whether or not this is permanent, I do not know. We'll just have to see what happens. At some point in the future, I may decide to re-upload my stuff to a different file-sharing site, or not. But, I am not going to do anything about it right now. So, for the time being, music files are no longer available from this site. Please do not ask me to upload them somewhere else right now. I need to see just what is going to be the fall-out from all this, and what it might mean to blogs such as this. Thanks.

In a couple of words...That sucks
This demonstrates that SOPA and PIPA are merely intended to codify actions the Federal Government ALREADY BELIEVES ITSELF empowered to perform. Just like NDAA; indefinite detention is already practiced, and now, clearly, is preemptive shutdown of websites without burden of proof. These are just measures to cover their asses legally.
So, as do you, I mourn the loss of my music files, but also, in a broader sense - and to risk sounding hyperbolic - be afraid, be very afraid. And I don't mean that they could shut down our blogs, but that they can shut down anyone, whenever. Remember, everything Hitler did was legal, too.
You can always use mediafire it is good always free and fast . I think this may be the beginning to the end .
hang in there
be strong, i really like your blog
Update: Since Megaupload went down, some of the other filesharing sites have now panicked and drasically curtailed their filesharing activities. So far, Filesonic has disabled all file sharing, and Fileserve has closed out the accounts of most filesharers, as well as several smaller companies also shutting down. This is not good at all. We'll still just have to see what all happens from all this. For now Mediafire and several others are still active, but who knows what will happen next. I will go ahead and do some trial posts with Mediafire and see how it goes. A couple recent posts have been re-upped on Mediafire.
