Legendary progressive rock guitarist Steve Hackett recently released a new live album from his 2021-2022 Seconds Out & More Tour, which features all the songs performed on Genesis's classic live album Seconds Out (1977) (which was the last project Steve participated in before leaving the Genesis), as well as several songs from Steve's extensive solo catalog. The official live release was recorded in Manchester, UK last September (9/24/21) as part of the UK leg of the tour. Steve brought the tour to the US in the Spring of 2022. Fortunately there are several quality unofficial recordings available from these shows. Of the several recordings I heard, the best one I found is the one presented here, from Kitty Lickin' productions, an excellent sounding audience recording from The Egg in Albany, NY. In recent years, Steve has further enhanced his appeal and reputation by providing stellar live performances of classic Genesis songs from Steve's and the band's progressive hey days. Steve has assembled a top-notch band to re-invigorate and bring these great songs back in glorious live performances. In previous Genesis Revisited shows, he has done a variety of classic Genesis tracks, as well as full album performances of Selling England by the Pound, and for his latest tour, just started this September (2022) with UK dates, he is currently doing the full Foxtrot album for his Foxtrot at 50 tour (stay tuned for more on this). But today we have the Seconds Out & More show from Albany. The Second's Out show is filled with some of Genesis's greatest songs, including 'Firth of Fifth', 'Cinema Show', 'Dance on a Volcano/Los Endos', and a fantastic full-length rendition of 'Supper's Ready'.
