John Prine
(and featuring Iris DeMent)
March 3, 2000
Oven's Auditorium, Charlotte, NC
Audience recording, good quality
Available in both Lossless (FLAC) and mp3 (320 kbps) versions
More from John Prine, again featuring a particular period that hasn't been represented here yet. This show comes from 2000, not long after John's return from cancer surgery and treatment. This show features several songs from John's 1999 album, In Spite of Ourselves, which consisted of duets (mostly covers) with various female vocalists, and so this show also includes performances from his favorite of these female vocalists, Iris DeMent, on many songs, which makes this show unique from most others. It also includes exemplary backup work and vocals from David Jacques and Jason Wilbur, on bass and guitar-mandolin. A very nice show from this later period.
