Ok, here's one more Little Feat show, featuring guitarist Paul Barrere. This one is from the 1990 tour, following the release of Representing the Mambo (1990), which was their second album after the reformation and rejuvenation of the band in 1987. It featured a bit more jazzy songs, in addition to the rockers, blues, and funk they are known for, and was another great album. This is a great full-length show featuring songs from throughout their history, and a great recording, showing off the band in all their glory, and further strengthens the obvious conclusion that they continued to be a great band long after Lowell George was no longer around. Sure, Lowell was missed, but the core of the band (Barrere, Payne, Gradney, Hayward, and Clayton) was just so strong and talented, and Craig Fuller was a wonderful addition on vocals. If you were someone who dismissed the re-formed band due to the loss (and absence) of George, you owe it to yourself (and the band) to check out some of these post-George shows, as they were still great for many years to come.
